Ragan-Smith Associates, Inc., was originally formed in 1933 as Blanchard & Parrish Engineers. By 1969 Pete Ragan had become the principal stockholder and in 1971 Sid Smith joined the team. Since the 1970's, Ragan-Smith has steadily increased its scope and maintained its reputation of providing excellent service to some of the region’s major development and public sector concerns. The company is now managed by stockholders who also are responsible for clients and projects within a particular market sector. The major client sectors include Commercial Development, Residential Development, Government and Transportation, Surveying and Mapping, and Landscape Architecture and Land Planning. Ragan-Smith has a staff of 80 professional, technical and administrative employees working from its downtown Nashville office. Our professional staff is made up as follows:
