A flood and storm water detention study including hydrologic and hydraulic analyses necessary to reclaim property from the 100-year flood plain was performed on this 525.8-acre project. HEC-1 computer software was used to model the hydrology of the basins that drain to the 10 plus detention ponds within the fifteen communities making up this subdivision. A detailed design was performed for storm water detention ponds that will limit peak runoff rates from the project to pre-project peak flow rates. The requirements for TDEC, COE, TWRA, and the City of Franklin were met during the design of this project.
