This project involved the survey, design and preparation of construction documents for a new park entrance and bridge over Drakes Creek in Hendersonville. As part of the project, Ragan-Smith prepared a Letter of Map Amendment (LOMA) for submittal to FEMA. The LOMA was required to satisfy the "no rise" requirement for the 100-year flood plain. In order to prepare the application, Ragan-Smith updated the accepted hydrologic and hydraulic model to include the new bridge and approaches, which were entirely within the 100-year flood plain.
