Ragan-Smith was selected to provide comprehensive planning, survey and design services to Metro Nashville Department of Public Works to reconstruct the intersection of Stewarts Ferry Pike and McCampbell Avenue. The project involved a high level of coordination with both the Nashville and Eastern Railroad and Nashville Electric Service, due to existing facilities in the immediate intersection area. The project was a priority to the Department and the Metro Council given the safety and capacity deficiencies, and the lack of sidewalk and control of traffic at the intersection and at the grade rail crossing. Ragan-Smith was responsible for all technical aspects of the project as well as public hearings and presentations.
