Ragan-Smith was selected by Metro Nashville Water and Sewerage Services to provide hydrologic and hydraulic design and specifications for the mitigation of an existing stormwater flooding situation in the vicinity of 29th Avenue at Vanderbilt Place. The project solution involved a new 54-inch storm sewer along existing streets adjacent to existing urban residential properties. The existing storm sewer was left in place in order to provide acceptable hydraulics to cure the longstanding flooding problem. Ragan-Smith was also contracted to provide construction administration of the project including onsite testing and sampling for excavation and placement of backfill.
