High Definition Survey is the ability to gather data faster and at a high level of accuracy from a safe distance on objects that were previously considered unattainable or inaccessible by conventional methods. The data is acquired by a small laser beam that sweeps across a specific object, and picks up millions of points with XYZ values. The accumulation of these points, form a point cloud, which can be viewed and navigated like a 3D image. Information from the scanner can be easily converted to AutoCAD MicroStation, and many other formats.
