Ragan-Smith has utilized the latest traffic simulation software and tools to allow our engineers and more importantly local and state decision makers to visualize how intersections and driveways will actually function for projected conditions. Using the latest aerial photography, we can overlay the street network with lanes, turn radius and even adjacent driveways and model the flow for future conditions. The output can be recorded and run during a presentation and stakeholders and decision makers can acutally see vehicles turning and stacking along with the traffic signal operations. We have found this tool to be invaluable in front of clients, stakeholders, planning commissions, and transportation committees.
