Ragan-Smith was selected by TDOT to prepare a study and Advance Planning Report (APR) and construction plans for improvements to the area in and around SR-109, the I-40 Interchange, and Eastgate Boulevard in the vicinity of Dell Manufacturing. The study portion of the project involved analysis of the Eastgate Business Park as well as evaluation of the existing roadway geometrics, signalization, pedestrian facilities, median traffic queues and laneage at the intersections. The final design involves widening and signal improvements to the interchange as well as SR-109 and Eastgate Boulevard. These improvements will be programmed by TDOT using SIA funds.
